Pot type insulators are key electrical components in gas insulated metal enclosed switchgear (GIS), typically responsible for electrical insulation and mechanical support. Therefore, the manufacturing level of basin insulators determines the overall operational safety of power equipment. This article studies the influence of different parameters on the performance of castings during the solidification process of pot insulators. The development and changes of residual strain at the interface between pot insulators and metal inserts during the solidification process were measured through a pot insulator interface strain measurement platform. Study the influence of factors such as cooling rate, filler ratio, and arrangement position on the residual strain at the interface during the solidification process.
